Luxor Hotel & Casino
Luxor Hotel & Casino – An Elegant Egyptian Theme
Luxor Hotel & Casino is known for its extravagant casino that is spread across an area of more than 120,000 sq ft. It routinely offers some of the more affordable hotel rates on the Strip and the property is packed with things do, the Titanic and Bodies exhibits are favorites. It offers everything you’d expect from a Las Vegas hotel — from fabulous entertainment and dining, to non-stop Las Vegas casino action. It is connected to Mandalay Bay through the Mandalay Bay shops which has more place to eat and leads into the larger Mandalay Bay casino. Itis also located not to far from the Excalibur. It offers a variety of gourmet dining experiences from seafood and steak to Pan-Asian cuisine, each served in distinctive surroundings. It features comfortable and spacious accommodations ranging from standard rooms to extravagant suites. Luxor has a 120,000 square foot casino. This casino keeps with the Egyptian theme, while remaining one of the largest and most elegant casinos in Vegas. The Luxor Las Vegas hotel pyramid building uses unique high speed slanted elevators. It is part of the MGM Resorts International .
The hotel is named after the ancient Egyptian home of the pharaohs’ tombs. It was also seen in the movie The Hangover . The hotel is so big you could easily get lost in there. It links to both Mandalay Bay and also the Excalibur which we commonly found rather neat but exhausting on the legs. Typically the hotel itself is very easy to navigate and offers everything you’ll need. The casino is one of the smaller ones on the strip but it still has all of the games. It is as extravagant inside as it is on the outside. It has it all with a huge casino for all your gaming action, a wide variety of restaurants to accommodate all your dining needs including the huge More Buffet. The Luxor’s Nurture Spa is a full service spa that will energize and rejuvenate you after a night of fun. It also offers audiovisual equipment, lighting, and knowledgeable staff, which virtually guarantee a successful meeting or banquet. Itl provides a whirlpool, four huge swimming pools with patio chairs and towels cost-free for the hotel guests.
Accommodations: Pyramid Rooms & More
Rooms are specifically designed to keep your comfort in mind. Each room comes with an attached bathroom that has been decorated with amenities from Nurture Spa. Some of the other features offered are cable television, wireless internet, 24 hour room service and much more. Rooms in the pyramid have sloping glass walls that make them a bit bigger, and more interesting, than your standard Vegas box. The Rooms and suites in the pyramid have a sloped wall and bank of windows with views of the Strip and surrounding mountains. The amenities include color TV with remote, pay movies, cable, telephone, computer hook-ups, radio/alarm, and TDD equipment upon request. Iron and hair dryers are available upon request (hair dryers come in all tower rooms). The rooms at Luxor are large and feature oversized showers and your choice of one king or two queen-sized beds. Guest rooms at the Luxor provide cable TV with pay-per-view movies. Pyramid rooms are huge but otherwise nondescript. Also, one wall slopes due to thebuilding’s design-an interesting effect, but it makes these rooms feel cramped. We prefer the twin 22-story towers next door: they’re newer and also havebrighter rooms with large windows, many which offer killer views of the magnificent pyramid. Bathrooms are roomy and have separate showers and bathtubs. The Pyramid rooms are situated so they overlook the atrium. These first-rate rooms soar 350 feet into the desert sky, capturing the exciting vibes of Sin City.
The Casino: 120,000 square feet
Casino games consist of Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Keno, Roulette Poker, Slots, Video Poker as well as Megabucks. The casino, at 120,000 square feet, is one of the city’s biggest, offering an array of the latest slot and video poker machines, table games, a race and sports book and the Bruce Buffer Poker Room. Itis home to one of the biggest gaming floors in the city, making it a paradise for gambling enthusiasts. The casino has an area called The Party Pit, where girls dance on stage; a high-limit area; and a poker room that features regular tournaments as well as giveaways, table games and slots. The Casino floor also features dancing dealers at The Party Pit, where you can enjoy music while playing your game of choice.
Restaurants: Three Starbucks!
The Luxor Food Court located on the Mezzanine level is ideal for a quick snack. No less than three Starbucks, a fast food court, several bars, restaurants, and general stores and shops all mean plenty of choice. Luxor has 8 restaurants, a buffet and a food court. Players receive $1 an hour while playing cash games at the Luxor Poker Room. The comps may be used for food, hotel, or gift shop. Hotel guests that average five hours per day will receive 25% off their hotel bill. For a wide selection of breakfast and lunch fare, step into the Pyramid Café and explore its many comfort food options.
The Luxor is located at the far end of the strip opposite the airport, with only Mandalay Bay being further south. Luxor Las Vegas is one of the most impressive casino resorts located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Great place, definitely worth a visit.
